Have you ever looked at your existing windows and thought you would like them to be double glazed? You dismissed the idea because it would be too expensive and you didn't want to go through the construction mess of pulling out the windows. Well think again. Now it is possible to double glaze your windows at surprisingly affordable prices.
A single pane of glass provides very poor insulation because glass is a good conductor of heat. Therefore much of the heat in the room literally goes out the window. Install double glazing and a layer of air is trapped between the panes. Air is a poor conductor so far less heat is lost through the window.
For existing timber windows the single pane of glass is removed and replaced with a double glazed unit.
Double glazing cuts down on the cold draughts off windows and significantly improves the comfort level of a home. Another benefit of this double glazing is significant noise reduction. If noise is the major problem, laminated glass can be installed to further enhance the noise reduction properties of the window.
Double Glazing consists of two panels of glass set together with a spacer in between and sealed, trapping air inside. The air inside the unit greatly reduces the amount of hot or cold air that transfers from either side of the glass, thereby almost halving the amount of heat loss through the window. Argon gas can be introduced to give increased insulation.
Our double glazed units are constructed using the superior Super Spacer Warm Edge Technology. As there is no metal content in our insulated glass units, there is a higher insulation performance achieved compared to units constructed with an aluminium spacer bar.
Our Double glazing supplier is a Member of the Insulating Glass Unit Manufacturers Association of Australia.
Our high quality insulating glass units are primary and secondary sealed under controlled conditions in the factory.
If requested, an inert gas, such as argon, is used to fill the internal space between the glass panels to further improve the insulation.
The space between the glass panels is created by the inclusion of a hollow spacer bar at the perimeter. This spacer bar that is filled with a desiccant material is bonded to both glass panels.
Acting through a tiny perforations the desiccant will absorb and permanently lock away any residual water vapour resulting in only totally dry air within the sealed space between the glass panels. Trapped dry air is a very good insulator and internal condensation is not possible.
The existing single glass panels are replaced on site with factory sealed Double Glazed Units.

We can also replace your entire window and replace with a new Double glazed Window
The existing aluminium windows is measured and a new Secondary Window is manufactured to specifications. The new Secondary window is then installed behind the original window frame, which is retained within the internal reveals adjacent to the existing window. Our Double Window System is a cost effective solution for existing windows. Compared with most other systems on the market this product provides superior noise insulation, particularly when using laminated glass.
The Double Window System is barley perceptible from the outside. Therefore it is the ideal solution for noise and thermal control in flats, units and other higher density dwellings where body corporates may have controls on the external appearance of buildings.
We can also replace your entire window and replace with a new Double glazed Window
Installation usually take less than half an hour per window and without the inconvenience that is usually associated with a window replacement such as delays, lengthy site works, architrave removal/replacement, painting etc.
